Featuring a profile that is closer to European luxury sedans than your traditional Ford, the 2016 Ford Fusion Energi is an excellent choice for comfort and a taste of luxury, without the price tag. The wide, expressive grille is complemented by the raked lines along the hood, giving the appearance that the Energi is surging towards you. The proportions are pleasing to the eye, with a small rear decklid that helps the Fusion Energi from looking as though it stretches back. Upswept character lines in the side sheet metal, along with a fairly high beltline, further provide a sense of class, and it creates an overall package that will stand the test of time. The only difference between the normal Fusion and the Fusion Energi is the discrete charging cover in front of the driver's side door. Standard heated sideview mirrors help clear the winter frost, while an available power moonroof provides light and, in the summer, a refreshing source of air. Choose from two different wheel types, or add an available decklid spoiler, along with a number of colour choices, for your own personal touch.
Seating for five, in leather-trimmed seats, is the standard in all 2016 Ford Fusion Energi models. The seating is spacious to boot, with 996 millimeters of head room in the front, and 960 in back. Seating width is great as well, with nearly 1,400 millimeters of hip room making it so passengers will be comfortable. Heated front seats are standard, which is perfect for our winters, while ventilation and a heated steering wheel are both available. Entertainment is centered around the SYNC with MyFord Touch system, featuring an 8-inch colour LCD touch screen mounted at the top of the centre stack. This system has two USB ports and an SD card reader, and features voice-activation to keep your attention on the road. An upgraded Sony audio system and a navigation system can both be added. MyFord Mobile app with 5-year service agreement is also standard on all Energi models.
Plug-In Economy, Gasoline Power
The power unit in the 2016 Ford Fusion Energi is a single unit. EV Mode button allows you to toggle between modes easily, controlling if your vehicle runs on all electric, no electric, or a blend.
