How To Pair Your Mobile Phone with Your MyFord Touch System

Watch the video above and follow along below step by step to learn how to pair your mobile device to your Ford vehicle to its MyFord Touch system.

  • Touch the Add A Phone in the yellow corner of your MyFord touch system
  • Go into your phone's settings
  • Go into your Bluetooth settings
  • Once the two systems have found each other, click Sync
  • A unique identification code will show on your mobile device
  • You will be asked to confirm that the numbers on the phone and the MyFord touch match
  • It may take a few moments for the two systems to pair
  • You will see a confirmation when the two systems are synchronized
  • Next, you can set up the 911 emergency dialing function. This is free of charge, and very important for safety reasons. If you're in an accident, 911 will call you automatically!
  • You will also be prompted to synchronized your phone book
  • Touch Apply to start uploading all your contacts from your mobile device to your MyFord Touch

The MyFord touch configuration is simple and intuitive. With a few touches you are all set to use hands free voice activated dialing of your phone book, and can ensure added safety in the event of a collision with the 911 connect.

How To Use Your MyFord Touch Navigation System

Arguably the most useful and used feature of the MyFord touch is its navigation system. This is offered on most new models in the Ford lineup. Follow the steps below and watch along above to learn more about how to use your MyFord touch navigation system.

  • Touch Navigation in the green corner of your MyFord touch screen
  • The map will then appear
  • Touch Destination
  • Touch Address to begin typing in your destination
  • Type in your information in the Address menu
  • Touch City to enter the city of your destination
  • Touch Street to input the street name
  • Touch Number to type in the number of your destination's address
  • The map will reload and pinpoint the location of your entered destination
  • Touch Set as Destination to confirm your route and get directions

If your entered destination is going to be visited frequently, add it as a favourite using the Save to Favourites button.

How To Reset Your MyFord Touch System

The MyFord Touch system is as advanced as a computer, and along with those benefits comes the occasional technological hiccup. When your MyFord touch system freezes, you can use the steps below to reset it. Follow along below and watch above!

  • Touch the Settings button, which looks like two wheels/gears
  • Go down to Settings
  • Touch Settings
  • Touch System
  • Scroll down and touch Master Reset
  • Touch Yes when the warning menu appears
  • In 10 to 15 minutes, the system will be reset

Once your system is reset, be sure to resynchronize your mobile devices!
